University Hospitals Home Care Services offer patients and
families high quality home medical care, including a specialized
oncology program that provides advanced, innovative technologies
and therapies, together with the emotional support families
often need.
The home care staff includes certified oncology nurses, who
have a diverse background in cancer care, and pediatric
specialists, who care for the special needs of children with
cancer. These experts work directly with specialists at the
Ireland Cancer Center. Oncology services available through Home
Care Services include:
- Home chemotherapy
- Investigational therapies
- Patient and family education
- Palliative care
- Medical social services
- Pain and symptom management
Registered nurses who serve as home care coordinators are
available 24 hours a day to arrange referrals or answer
questions.
