 Sarcoma Oncology Trials
TITLE MSKCC 1705: A Multicenter Phase II study of Sorafenib (BAY43-9006) in Non-GIST Sarcomas
DESCRIPTION This study will evaluate the effect of sorafenib on sarcoma. Sorafenib is a new type of “targeted” chemotherapy that attacks specific proteins. Patients will receive sorafenib twice a day for four weeks continuously in this study.
ELIGIBILITY
  1. Patients must have histologically or cytologically confirmed sarcoma or giant hemangioma except GIST
  2. Subjects must have metastatic and/or locally advanced or locally recurrent disease.
  3. 0-1 prior chemotherapy regimens for metastatic disease and no prior treatment with small molecule inhibitors of MAPK signaling intermediates
  4. Age > 18 years
  5. ECOG Performance status must be 0 - 2.
  6. Patients must have normal bone marrow, liver and kidney function
