Breast Cancer Treatment Programs

The Ireland Cancer Center of University Hospitals of Cleveland has a Breast Center that offers a full range of services that promotes breast health, the diagnosis and care of benign breast disease, and the early detection and treatment of breast cancer. The Breast Center emphasizes a multidisciplinary team approach. Specialists in radiology, surgery, reconstructive surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, nursing, rehabilitation therapy, pathology, and genetics work together to provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art options to patients. The interdisciplinary team presents each new patient’s case in weekly breast conferences where the team reviews the patient’s clinical presentation, mammography and pathology results. The team reaches a consensus as to the best possible treatment plan. The Breast Center team provides each patient with information, education, and the needed support to make an individualized treatment decision.
