Cervical Cancer

Cancer of the cervix accounts for less than 2% of newly diagnosed cancers in women. The American Cancer society estimates that there will be 10,500 new cases of cervical cancer in 2004. Advances in detection, prevention, and treatment have lead to a decrease in both the incidence and mortality rates of cervical cancer.
